I have never had any luck at all with begonias,,,I think it is because I tend to over water and they rot. Good Luck.
Aloe are so simple, do not over water, they like it on the dry side, I put mine in along one area of the fence line and they grow just fine...

also, i recently planted large aloe plants that i found on the side of the road. someone just THREW them aside. i couldn't believe it. two of them seem fine and one of them, the smaller one is just soso, is there anything i should be doing. its been about a week or two.

Aloe needs very little water. I water mine about once a month. Less in winter. Also, the bigger the pot or area their in the bigger they will get. Does the plant look yellow or brown? If so it is getting to much sun.
I have never had begonias sorry. -

the two bigger aloe plants seem to be doing well. the smaller one, varies from week to week, but so far it seems to be holding its own, i guess because it is a hearty plant to begin with. i don't do anything with them, just lives by the water from the sky and so far so good. -
