Book Update!

Posted by mandijo - 04/15/08, 10:57 pm

Hey girls I just wanted to update you on those two books I bought. I got them and read them (yeah I'm psycho)! I really liked them and thought they were well worth the money.

The first one

Consumer Reports, Best Baby Products. It is the A-Z guide to everything you need. Revealing dangerous products, best and worst brand name products and hand lists of what you really need.

Wasn't exactly what I was expecting I was thinking it would be more brands and a little bit more help that way. It was okay though, they listed the ratings in the back of (almost) every chapter. It helped a lot with what products I would need, what they are used for and whatnot.

The second one

Parenting Magazine's Baby Must-Haves. It claims to be the essential guide to everything from cribs to bibs. Favorite brands, real life tips, and when to skip, save or splurge. I think is the better of the two, even though I find the ranking lists from book one to be invaluable. It is in color and fun! It has great tips from mom and rather than saying, oh you don't need a changing table it tells you your options if you decide to get one. I really liked it!

I figure it like this; I basically paid 24 for both books to get them shipped to me. Well 12 a piece is well worth the information I received.

Warning, if you are already aware of what you are going to need and what to look for in each product then skip them. The information is slightly elementary and very beginner. Being First Time Moms I think they are good books for us to read, but I'm a huge HUGE HUGE fan of lots of research!

Love you all!

Product Guide Books

Hey Mom's!
I bought two books and I wanted to tell you about them! I just ordered them together and paid total like $23. I will keep you updated on them when I get them and let you know if they were worth it. I bought them through amazon and paid like $8 shipping because I bought used rather than new, I think if I bought new the subtotal was like $24, with free shipping if you need something else(you have to spend 25 for the free shipping) anywho! I bought ;

I know I probably could have saved myself $25 and just spend the extra time researching on the internet, but they seem to be really good books and BOY I need something! The internet has so much stinken information I need something thats a little more censored for a little while! I'll be sure to let you all know when they get here and what I thought!
