I had sleep over's with my friends and we would make each other's face's up.Ride my bike down to the park and take my roller skates and horse around with my friends.Later I worked after school and life was differant.

My cousin and i hung out alot we used to do everything together, rollerskate, ride bikes, go swimming, skip school, sneak guys in my mothers house when she was gone. We got into a bit of trouble together also. I miss those days! LOL

I used to love swimming, and running, I also adored all the fairs and toffee apple stalls and candy floss stalls that used to come every summer, they aren't the same now.. I think i just showed my age, lol XXX

Was very shy in my early teens because I had these awful winged tipped glasses. Then I got a waitress job and saved enough money to buy contacts. Gave me confidence in more ways then one in my later teens, besides our state passed a bill that 18 year olds could drink and buy booze. Totally went wild and had a great time. Muscle cars were there and along with cheap gas made it affordable to ride the circuit with.

I would have sleepovers, pool parties, and gatherings at parties. I didn't have much self esteem, and lost a lot of my friends, because I ostracized myself from them. I did a lot of diary writing too. My parents did everything they could for me to gain more friends. I was happy with the 3 friends I befriended. They were kind, and not back stabbers!!

I was isolated as a teenager... my abusive childhood left me feeling different and alone... so I worked.. i had a horse.. and a small hobby farm lol.. chickens and ducks.. turkeys and geese.. even raise a few rabbits...quarter acre garden...then I ran away from home.... yeah great ... LOL.. didn't have no place to run so I went back home after a few months.. outta the pan into the fire .... yepp I got burned.. but I learned from it... like one of the most important lessons I learned.. ya don't back stabb ya friends and family... to be true to myself... always..

Your answers were interesting and I can see that we all did our own thing in our own way growing up.Life is hard on a teen its not easy being caught between being almost grown and still feeling like a kid.

, Grew up on a farm, most things we did was related to that lifestyle,4-H, FFA. Big time was the county fair, Box Suppers, Cake Walks, Square Sancing, All roads were dirt, Dad had a 1937 chevy. had to learn to drive young so could help with the chores. Had a Horse that we could ride to School, about 4 miles, by the time we got to school, there would be 5 of us on that horse. We went roller Skating a lot, sometimes in the summer race down to the pond and go skinneyDippin, Thats when I found out what them funny Boys were. It was a lot simpler..No TV, video games, cell phones, computers, No Aids, and a GAY, was a happy person. We said Yes Sir and NoMam. We never gave a thought to shooting anyone. We opened each day of school with A Prayer and said the Pledge. There were no designer clothes, or a Mall to go and buy them.. We were never Bored.

I did a lot of nothing....my mom would not let me do much. I went to one dance when I was 18 and only one football game. The rest of the time I had to be home. I did used to babysit but gave my mom the money. Oh well. I also got married at 19 and that was the best thing that happened to me.

Ya know besides the abusive part of my teen years...
there were good times... like playin my tenor Sax... to the squirrels out back ... way out back by the chicken cooup... lol.. then there were the time my folks were gone.. so I'd get out the electric guitar.. and play some loud strange music... lol...
I've always loved music.. and I'd try to learn to play any intrument my folks allowed around the house...
We had a Kimball organ.. thousand buttons.. double keyboard....lots of crazy sounds... and man it was loud... I could shake em up from highwya 620 all the way down to Jollyville tx... lol...
I had help a few time with friends...we sometimes turned Pecan Park into the Twilight Zone....
sometimes we played some serious music...,,if the folks weren't dancin in the street... they was screamin and yellin TURN THAT THING DOWN... JEESH....
my uncle he taught me to play the guitar... better... counttry stuff lots of folk and blue grass... He often took me places and we'd play with groups.... even did a thing at Jonestown end once....dang them folks like Hank songs.....I'd walk the line... LOL...Honky Tonk Man...
these old hands can't play the Guitar anymore.. I still try now and then....it mostly just hangs on my wall... remindin me of days gone by... too bad my accordin got burnt up in a fire... I'd still squeeze that box if I had it.. lol...Bar room Poka... several others...it wasn't a kid pleaser tho... lol.. but the grandparents like to listen... Crazy aint it... but it was worth all those smile... Mine mostly.. cause I enjoyed music...
