IN A REGULAR NINE-INNING BASEBALL GAME, WHAT IS THE
MINIMUM NUMBER OF PITCHES THAT A PITCHER, WHO WORKS
THE WHOLE GAME, CAN THROW?
IS THE PITCHER ON THE HOME TEAM OR THE VISITING TEAM?
THE VISITORS BAT FIRST.
THE ANSWER IS NEITHER 27 NOR 24!

Minimum of 81 pitches....9 innings x 9 strikes per inning..... and theres a pitcher on BOTH the home and visiting teams. -

THE CORRECT ANSWER IS 25 PITCHES!
24 PITCHES THAT RESULT IN OUTS AND ONE MORE
PITCH FOR A HOMERUN TO END THE GAME. THE
PITCHER WOULD BE ON THE VISITING TEAM! -
