Hi everyone. I'm new to this group. My name is Lindsey and I'm about to turn 21 in August.

I have been feeling a lot of stress about this coming Sunday at my church. (www.evangelcathedral.com and click on channel) This coming Sunday at my church is a water baptism ceremony. I have been a Christian since I was 5 years old and I have been baptized before when I was maybe 7 or 8, but I have lately been feeling that I need to do it again as an adult. So, I put my name on the list, made my video testimony and I am ready to go. However, the more I think about it, the more I feel like I'm not ready. I know that Satan is controlling that, but we were given invitations for our family and friends to come to see our baptism and have a reception afterwards, but not one of my friends, Christians or non Christians is willing or wanting to come. I'm not going to have a single person there to see it or be at the reception with me. All of my friends in the church are fellow members of the choir, like I am, and we have two different church locations on Sunday morning, so after our first service, we all travel like a caravan to the other location. That means no one in the choir will be able to be there with me and I'm not allowed to ask them to stay because we are all contractually obligated to be at both service locations to sing.

So, with all of that being said, what should I do? Am I wrong in feeling stress and anxiety about being baptised or am I just being self-obsorbed? I'm going to do it no matter what, but I just need someone to give me some sound advice.
