Enemies: How do YOU pray for them?

Posted on 07/01/09, 05:54 am
My ex husband abducted our daughter a month ago. I am conflicted about how to pray for him.

At times, I pray for him to go to jail for a while. Other times, I pray for forgiveness and for his wellbeing.

I am forgetting that our daughter should be the focus of my prayers. I know she is probably safe with him, and I am mainly feeling the betrayal of my ex. How could he do this to my current husband and I?

I also prayed, in the first days he was gone, that God would smite him down. Just like King David prayed for God to smite down his enemies.

Is this wrong?

This is how I pray for my enemies...I say a pray for me and then one for them.
I pray for help in dealing with the person in the best way and then I pray for them that will God will change there heart and they can see the error of their ways.

I am so sorry to hear about what you are going through. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Welcome
