hi teri, welcome to the most wonderful group of people. i am so so sorry for your loss. may i ask what is lissencephaly? i lost my daughter last year - she had cerebral palsy, but many complications.
i cant believe that it was 2001 and you still have never really grieved. there is so much emotion i dont know how you have managed to just keep it in. hopefully you will be able to work through all of your pains and emotions through sharing with these moms, who all hurt bad. love jan

hi im teri and im new..my daughter passed away in 2001 from lissencephaly.and im still having problems.ive never grieved.i need support.and im glad i found this place..i never want to forget her..

Hi Teri, I lost my dtr in 2000, it seems how time goes by so fast, sometimes it feels like yesterday. This is a good group, you will find a lot of support here.

Hi there - I am new here but wanted to say hello.
I am so sad for you that you lost your daughter. I am familiar with Lissencephaly and our daughter Keelan also suffered from a neurological disorder, although her docs have not yet been able to diagnose her (Keelan likely had a rare genetic disorder yet to be identified).
Having a child with a rare disease, I think adds to the grief and disbelief to what we are already going thru with losing them...I have started to referring to it as an added layer to the grief.
