Let's discuss ourselves. How do we pray for our needs with out seeming selfish?

  I pray for everyone else and I used to not ask for me
  as that would be selfish but, I learned that I am to pray for me too
  from my former pastor..
  I just ask the Lord to please, please handle " this " whatever this may be
  at the time, in His way but, I always ask Him to be gentle..
  Sometimes I feel that is wrong
