what do you need to leave behind

When Cinderella was so worried about pleasing her step mother she left behind her shiny slipper so she could obey her. What in your life gets in your way of obeying your heavenly father. What do you need to leave behind in your life to serve God.

  I need to leave behind hurts of the past. Especially in my marriage. I let them get in the way of fully serving God.

  I need to leave the hurt and pain of my 2 failed marriages in the past. I still get angry when I think of the pain that they caused not just me, but mostly my children.

  I need to leave behind the hurt and anger from my past. I have let my hurt build into anger which takes over my mind and heart, making it humanly impossible to serve God the way I desire to serve Him. I pray that God helps me forgive those who have hurt me and helps me leave the past in the past. My selfishness has become a stumbling block both in my marriage and with my relationship with God. I pray that God helps me to become more selfless and humble so that I can truly serve Him with all my heart, mind, and soul.

  I praise God that He has help me to leave my past hurts behind, I got the understanding from God that I could not walk into the future if i kept looking back, the devil was bringing all kind of thoughts to me from both marriages and making me dwell on them, and I asked God to help me to forgive those responsible and HE DID so i was able to walk forward,
  
  I need to change rather than leave behind, and this would be to spend more time in God presence and in His word, I find that this is something that i do not do enough of lately.
