Hey, just heard this on the news, new unemployment claims last week were the lowest since July, good news! Um, the reporter didn't say how many folks were newly unemployed. Hmm, I just checked, only 545,000 folks made new unemployment claims last week! Whoo, the gravy days are here again.
I'll restate what Angela Merkel, she the Chancellor of Germany, said to Tony Blair regarding the success of Germany's economy.
"Mr. Blair, we still make things."
Also, where we went the route of trying to do everything cheaper and cheaper, Germany's goal was to do things bettter.
And so the banana republicification of our nation continues.

So Bernehke has said, the "official" recession is over...we are likely into the jobless recovery phase....but for sure the gloom news every night on the evening news should stop. That is a very good sign for the 2010 elections. i like the majority in congress now and I would like to stay this way.

Yes, a few weeks ago Newsweek had as its cover story, "The Recession Is Over." I guess this is one of those instances you hear about where "Statistics lie." Have we stopped "making things" as Merkel pointed out to Blair? We sure don't make things better, though like Germany does (IMHO)!!
