Subject: ford plant trip in detroit mich , plus a few other things
there's car plants all over detroit,
miles n miles worth of property for all the
big 3 , gm,ford.chrysler, n prolly some other foreign car plants there too.
but the ford plant we went to was just the assembly plant. it was a 3 hour tour,
we started in a movie room, with screens all around this round room.
it showed the assembly of the ford truck , the f 150,
in that plant and on the movies we saw they didn't show the building of the motor, transfer cases (4 wheel drive only has transfer cases) or the building of the transmission ,axles, brakes , n alot more ,
mostly it was putting the parts together ,
back to the movies, at the end after they showed the truck being put together they started the truck and the room actualy rumbled aND shook , that was great , they also had great sound effects when they started the truck it was rumbling.
the tour only took us through part of that plant ,
one of the people that stand around and greet people agreed with us that they should show the whole plant.
but the big guys feel it's too much walking for people ,
but us and the greeter agree that they could put a sign up telling people how big/long the walk would be and let the people decide if they want to walk the whole plant. or just one section.
it took two hours to walk the plant. it was a 4 hour tour ,
gilligan and the skipper shoulda came with us,lol .
hhhhmm we are going to do more when we go back to michigan.
there is greenfield village,, the henry ford museum, detroit institute of art, casino's, many more car plants to explore ,
ford ,chrysler,gm, there is an Imax theater, there used to be boblo island and boblo boats there too but people destroyed
it, with fights ,destroying the property , possible killings.
there is the windsor tunnel , it's a tunnel under water that goes from detroit michigan to windsor canada.
there is also a bridge , I think it's the ambassador bridge? not sure.
there is also the detroit zoo,
in holland not far from detroit is the tulip festival if flowers is yer thing.
there is plenty to do in t5he detroit, michigan area
plenty of huge lakes , it's the great lakes state .
the state is full of lakes n rivers, farmland/wooded land
some mountain but not much, but michigan is not flat land , hilly in alot of places.
wow I rambled on,lol

I love the great state of michigan, temporarily lived there for about 12weeks when I was much much younger.... been to the henry ford museum, that is an incredible place to see and it will take all day to tour that place.... I resided up near the copper harbor area at the very tip of the peninsula. it is absolutley beuatiful up there, would love to go back for a week or so sometime and go fishing and enjoy the outdoors! I am much older and wiser now and probably would not be inclined to swim in lake Superior again!!!!! -
