There is a subject about molesters and child murderers.....such a sad subject for ALL of us!

  duh, I feel a little red!
  Went there & looked...WOW, what a lot of pain & rage. (And I can understand that) Just wish there was some way to share with those ds people that S/O's do not exist in a vacuum...and that those of us who still love our S/O's are hurting just as much.

  So sad; and this is what most think about sex offenders. doesn't matter if they've ever touched a child or not. they are all grouped together. there needs to be a mass media deluge telling the real story of those described as sex offenders. they do so much harm in the media. Somehow they need to be educated - but it probably wouldn't be sensational enough for them. This is what our loved ones face everyday. sometimes I think it's easier on them if they stay in prison; how can we protect them from what the world thinks?

  I've tried to stay away from recent events here in my area. But I can't.
  
  The Sheriff hasn't released Somer's cause of death (and I can understand that, it's a very useful investigative tool to withhold that type of info.) What has us scratching our heads is, was she or wasn't she molested? Because if she wasn't touched, then the "profile" for the suspect would be VERY different than if she had been molested. And so the public would need to look/think elsewhere. But the Sheriff's Office just isn't saying. First the Sheriff said that all S/O's in the 5 mile radius had been cleared. Now he's saying that no-one has been ruled out completly, just that "their stories seem to check out on the face of it." WTH does that mean?
  
  The ranting & raving of the community is understandable after an incident like this. I think our whole town needs to heal. But the speculation and WAG'ing that is going on now is becoming EPIC in it's proportions. It has begun to take on a life of it's own. I am VERY GRATEFUL that we live in a rural area; not in any kind of subdivision. If I still lived in the city "proper", I believe I would be afraid to go out; to return to "flyers" with my husbands photo & info plastered all over the place.
  
  Oh Lord, just help us all take this one day at a time!

  These guys have done their time, for God's sake!!! Two recent murders were performed by a 15 year old GIRL and a WOMAN...Of course, they were looking for the SO's.....this is just NUTS!

  I guess they feel they have to start somewhere....and just do not know where so the SO list seems the most logical choice....and yes, that is nuts!

This group is here to help those with loved ones who are convicted of sex offenses. This is a place where we don't judge because we are all in the same boat, regardless of the actual crime. If you don't feel completely comfortable posting freely on the main board because of the nature of your loved one's crime, feel free to post here because we all understand!
