Excercise for those that hate excercise :-D

Posted on 10/01/08, 03:30 pm
Hi all, I just wanted to check in and tell you how much I love the Wii fit I got for my birthday. I'm sure the thing wasn't cheap, but it's been so much fun. I hate routines, excercise classes, etc. I like walking in good weather but I'm the first to balk if it's too cool, rainy, whatever. This has been such a fun way to get excercise in. It tracks your time excercising, and scary enough, your weight, BMI, center of balance. I know it's not for everyone, but I have been enjoying it immensely. I'm going "Snow boarding" tonight! LOL

I was wondering how much it costs? Which games are included? What exercises do you do with it? I hope to save up for one soon.

You need to already have the Wii console (that's about 300)...I think the Wii Fit is another $100. Not cheap, but cheaper than a gym membership and a lot more fun. The Wii fit comes with about 20 different games on one disc - ranging from soccer (balance game - hitting ball off virtual head), to step aerobics, to hula hoop and yoga. Lots of great stuff to mix things up.

I agree, excellent way to get exercise, and laugh while you're doing it, which is also great for healing the body.
