Send a question to Tom Brokaw for consideration in the presidential Town Hall debate on October 7, 2008!
Our nation's mental health system is an important issue that needs to be addressed by both Senator Obama and Senator McCain. The system is in shambles and in need of a fundamental transformation. Here is the question that I am submitting. Feel free to use this question or refer to it for your own inquiry.
"In order to achieve recovery and cure for people with mental illnesses, is it imperative to increase funding for research? Do you believe the expansion of publicly funded research is an important mechanism for revolutionizing the mental health system?"
As the election nears, it is important to make an informed vote based on the issues that matter to you.
