Discussion for Tagline Contest

Posted on 07/17/08, 02:54 pm
Here are a couple things to keep in mind. Our bottom line is having Congress allocate more money for mental health research to discover better treatments, diagnosis and preventions... and hopefully one day, maybe cures. Remember our logo and what it represents. Every minute a suicide is attempted as a result of untreated mental illness. The logo is a stopwatch underlining the need for imperative action. We need to stop the clock on that statistic. And the action that we want people to take is to sign their name to our Online Declaration to show Congress that people care about this issue.

Here are a few ideas to get the creative juices flowing... Feel free to grab a hold of one and twist it into something you like.

I'll tell you bluntly I don't care about prizes I care about saving people's lives.... I have told people over and over they need to be proactive rather than reactive. I am on the reactive list... I never thought about the problem till it was mine. Now I think about it often. My child is dead. I can't bring her back. I wish people would recognize they need to get involved now. So I am kind of in favor of something like... but really that's probably a better tagline for a topic discussion... still I hope yall will keep it in mind for the appropriate topic... Will your child be next? Of the ones you suggested I favored Time For Answers... with an addition... Don't wait till someone you love is dead to demand answers...

I keep going back to Paving the Way for a Cure, One Signature at a Time. that one is pretty catchy.

Paving the Way for a Cure saves lives, One signature at a Time.

Maybe it stands alone but I think with a life added in makes it stand out more of what the cure really accomlishes. Still playing around.
