Posted on 07/25/09, 10:43 am
this summer has been cool here, so that fire has been burning for awhile. now that august is only a week away i`m really getting excited! this is just the start of things to come. fall hunting seasons being the height of my outdoors year, and christmas is the cherry on top!!! archery starts the ball rolling in late sept/early august for 6 weeks, and all types of small game. then the granddaddy of them all, rifle season for deer. that means a week away at camp!!! all the trail cameras have been out for a month now, licenses all bought, practice is an ongoing activity all year. PLEASE HURRY UP CALENDAR !!!! what are your thoughts this time of year? are you ready?

Dave, you would be so completely JEALOUS OF MY "YARD" RIGHT NOW... This week, a herd of doe have been playing tag in the flying field (about 8?) and tonight they were getting so close to the house, I shot my blanks pistol (it is really loud!!!) to scare them off (Don't tell my partner...LOL)...

There is still a doe on the northern end of the pumpkin patch which is all harvested and fenced so I'm letting her be.... The hunters in Cow Country will be very happy after Thanksgiving... OOOOHHHH, lest I forget, the BIG BUCK has been showing his face--can't believe all these great hunters have not taken him down! Must be a 12 point!!!

    Jealous??? LOL xo Cj
