My Backyard Critters

Posted on 07/17/09, 02:17 pm
I have a few critters living in my backyard......some little some big.

First, I have a 400-425 lb black bear that is making himself very present. Does not seem to bother him if we are out side at anytime of the day. The dog has ran up to him and barked and Blackie(the bears new nickname) just ignores the dog. He has wondered up to my sliding door and looked in and walked away. He does not seem afraid of us. I have been putting scraps out, which of course he keeps coming back to look for more.....I know.....why the hell am I feeding him.................He is just so beautiful to watch stroll around my yard.

Then, I also have a fox that is using my yard as a daily path to somewhere. I have a snowshoe rabbit that has had babies and the dog has been playing with them. It is so cute to watch those little things hopping around playing with the dog.

Now here is my problem........My backyard is infested with snakes.....pine snakes. I hate them!!!!!!! I go outside only on the porch of I wear my garden boots if I have to go in the grass. You can sit outside at night and hear these things moving thru the grass.......YUCK!!!!!!!!!

How do I get rid of the snakes???????
