Just found out I have endo

Posted on 06/14/09, 02:31 am
Hello,

I just found out I have endo. I am 35 years old, and I am scared needless to say. I just wondered if a bad pain in the right back of my knee is normal, pain in my breasts and my right arm goes numb every now and then. I had to go to the hospital last night, I had such bad pain in my left pelvic area, going all the way around my back. Also, my stomach inflates sometimes, and I look like I am 9 months pregnant. I am sorry for all of the questions, I am just scared and upset all at once. Thank you for having this kind of group, I really need it now. :)

I had a hysterectomy in April b/c of endometriosis. My bladder and uterus were binded together and attached to my abdomenal wall. I've heard of endo traveling to other parts of the body, but I'm pretty sure that it's extremely rare. So, I wanna say that the non-pelvic pains are likely not related to the endo. I got frustrated very fast when I went to the ER, b/c I realized there was nothing they could do for me as far as the endo went--the only thing I could do was wait for surgery. HUGS!! Don't be scared...learning the cause is half the battle. :)

It's crazy that you should mention the stomach swelling up, because that happened to me! Every once in a while I wake up and I look 7 months pregnant. My belly sticks out way past my boobs and is hard to the touch. It goes away after a while, but it was really really crazy the first time it happened. I guess it must be related to the endo. Maybe the inflammation just causes us to swell?

Welcome
