Blood Sugar Issues

Posted on 06/11/08, 01:17 am
Hello everyone! I am new to this support group, and I was hoping someone may have some information about blood sugar issues and how to control it better. I have endometriosis along with polycystic ovarian disease. I am insulin resistant and have terrible problems with hypoglycemia. Today 2 hours after lunch it registered at 52. My reproductive endocrinologist just recently took me off of Glucophage XR500, but my hypoglycemia has been a problem since I was 5. (I'm now 25) Any advice on how to control it better besides eating candy or sugary drinks when it drops?

Eat carbohydrates that will keep you from going up and down. I think I was told to eat complex carbs. I'm sorry, I don't have any more info at hand. I hope I was somewhat helpful.
