Australian Road Rescue

Posted on 10/13/09, 11:37 pm
I'm currently a vol. ambo in a country area in Australia. Long story short we've had quite a few MVA's in the area in recent times, however if we need ses/road rescue team they may be 2 hours away. what we are starting to look at in this area is getting the numbers and setting up our own local base here. Has any one switched to road rescue, or are involved in road rescue, and how does this affect you??

I agree and what makes it worse is that there is always a very high chance we personally know those involved. I realise cutting people (in varing states of wellbeing) out of cars is not going to be an easy job, and most of us are local enough to know what equipment is where and what we can get our hands on fast but multi-tasking seems to carry it's own liablities.
