Now that our babies are here...

Posted on 11/22/08, 05:29 pm
Well it has been a while! Chloe will be 7 weeks old on monday! She is healthy and happy. She still has a crazy sleep schedule but we are working on that =] I am so in love and feel so blessed. I am the luckiest woman in the world to have my beautiful children!

I have been dealing with post partum depression but I am making progress with a little help from some meds my doctor gave me.

So how is everyone else doing with their babies? I would love to hear your stories!

Hope everyone is well and baby is healthy and happy too!

Great idea! My little Timothy is almost three weeks old now and doing great! Taking care of him is definitely time-consuming, especially since he loves to eat (some days it seems like he's eating all day). I guess I consider myself fortunate because our nights are pretty consistent - finally get him to sleep around 11 and up ever 1 1/2 - 2 hours to feed and change his diaper. Can't wait for that 3-4 hour stretch of sleep :)

I also had a bit of the baby blues, but they seem to be getting better. I still have my little breakdowns, but I'm sure that's normal with all of the new and sometimes unanticipated changes!

Hope everyone else is doing well!

Hey good to hear from everyone, Colten is now 7 weeks old, can't believe how fast time has pasted. He is eating like there will be no food tomorrow!! We are struggling with breastfeeding ( just can't make enough to keep up with him) so we are doing a hybrid approach with breast and formula. Had some blues the first week just over the breastfeeding issues but once I let it go I felt a lot better. ah the first time the baby sleeps 3-4 hrs you won't know what to do LOL, we are now hoping for a 5 hr stretch, had one 2 nights ago and you would have thought we had 12 hrs of sleep!! Hope everyone is well, can't wait to hear some updates.

Izabella is such a joy. She is now 11 weeks old. I was not producing enough milk so we were having to supplement with formula. She is doing great...eats a ton and is just about sleeping through the night. I put her down about 9 or 10 and she sleeps till about 4! I can't imagine my life without her...she is smiling and cooing. She had her first shots last week, I felt so bad for her, but she is doing fine. I have to go back to work in January which I am not looking forward to, I only will be back three days a week which isn't to bad. Last year I didn't put up a Christmas tree because I was mourning the loss of my daughter Marissa...this year I put one up and am feeling such joy to be celebrating Christmas with my family and my daughter. She is growing like a weed, up to 11 pounds, and 23 inches long! I'm so happy to hear from all of you. Don't you all just love being mommies?

Wonderful to hear from everyone. My little girl is 2 months old tomorrow and has 4 hour stretches of sleep now which is awesome. I'm struggling though with the transition to the crib. My baby loves to cuddle and snuggle during sleep that she has been sleeping with us in bed. I love her to bits and pieces that I think we're both dealing with attachment issues. :)

Welcome
