I have a 14 year old Aussie and I know exactly how you feel. I NEVER thought she would slow down. All the years of hyper activity and taking her to the dog park EVERY DAY so that you could run, run, run and herd the other dogs.
My baby is having a really hard time getting up now (from sitting) and so now she gets a steriod shot once every 3 weeks. I do not know how much longer she will be with me, but I will just keep loving her as much as can as long as I am graced with her beautiful spirit.

My Aussie is 12 years old, and she is so tame, not a hyper basketcase like she used to be. I almost hate to say it but I miss that irritating hyper dog. The idea of her passing away is horrifying, but there' s nothing I can do. How is anyone else with an old dog dealing with the changes?
