What is the definition of a diva please?

  There are a few definitions.
  
  First allow me to say my group was more so one a divine type of DIVA. However there are many meanings to many people.
  
  I like to think that my way of looking at a DIVA is of one that has become a renaissance woman. One that has been through many obstacles and road blocks but survived and is able to recognize her many mistakes which she has turned into stepping stones to be that lady of substance. That lady that does things with pride and grace. Always walking tall and talking with confidence. She carries herself with a humble attitude.
  
  But if you want the definition of a DIVA look in the dictionary! Not been rude but that is my thought. It may mean something different. Every woman can fall into the category there is no beauty requirements or height weight requirement just that you are able to recognize and correct and then give back unselfishly.

  I agree, i have definitely been through some tough ordeals in my life and I am a survivor. I am a D.I.V.A. for those reasons. I have endured and have chosen not to let the circumstances define me. I am D. determined to fight to overcome whatever the circumctance. I. I have integrity and will not let it define who I am or who I want to be. V. I am a vessel of strength that has been created by God and A.of course I am awesome.....enough said

  I have a few steps to go before I can truly think of myself as a DIVA but I'm getting there. Then again..I'm hard on myself. So I could be one and not know it. By your definition I guess I am.

  Ladies to me I just believe that accomplishments says a lot about a person. However at the same time it's more than just what you have. If you have grown as a woman from just being a female that alone puts you into a different category. You know how we say that we are a step above other women in a classy sense well that's that DIVA in you.
  
  A DIVA is a leader. A humble, honest, hardworking, classy woman. THe description can continue. But only you can define why or how you are a DIVA. As long as you walk the walk and talk the talk you wear the DIVA logo. With your head held high not in vain but in confidence, you are a DIVA.
  
  DIVA's have no weight requirement cause your heart can be as big as your body or bigger. Don't be fooled by society or a man's perception of you! Oprah once said "Be the change you want to see". So if you headed in the right direction keep moving. Eventually you will get there. Success is not only measured in your bank acct. If you came out of something guess what you were successful. Everyone meaning of success is different. But if you go by society's definition then you will always come up short. Know what you are successful for. Know what your strengths are. And know that you can achieve anything you choose to do.
  
  If you a single mother then you know it's by your determination that keeps the family fed, clothed, and with whatever you have. You did that. That right there show that you are successful.
  
  But this site DS and my group was called DIVA because I know I wear a crown whether it's real or imaginary. GOD deemed me to be just how I am. My clothes don't make me I make the clothes. The shoes I walk in don't carry me But GOD has carried me through out my LIFE. This group was designed to help women of today feel more in tune within their skin. To help you understand that your feelings are human. And to really unite as women of any color. The fight to feel pretty has no color. The fight to feel loved has no color. So therefore that's why I started DIVA's. We need our own space. We need to identify with our peers to face society. So I think as long as you hold a certain standard about yourself then you may need to be in this group. I will say as GOD said it "Come as you are". GOd doesn't require us to be perfect and who am I to ask of anything different from you?
