Sometimes I try to live one day at a time, but because of my past mistakes it it really hard to see the future. I am always living in a world of regrets because of my past and present ,mistkaes, due to my anger, bitterness, hatred and resentment, and severe depression it is really hard to rest my mind. Sorry for crazy talk, but I just needed to vent. I love Cristy Lane's album "One day at a time" It really helps me.

I understand exactly where you are coming from nettiew,

All I can say is that untill a 2 weeks ago I had no real idea about how to live one day at a time. Now I have found away and I am very impressed by the effects, which is why I created the group, 'Time Management for The Chronically Disorganized which I mentioned on another post.

The trick is to put your task into a weekly schedule, then you don't need to worry beyond the end of the day because it is all in the schedule. If something comes up that is urgent just try to schedule it into that day and reschedule some other stuff. If there is no time to finish it that day, schedule it for the next day and forget about it till morning.

There is nothing that helps you stop worrying about stuff more than having a written intention to do something about it on a given day at a given time.

Also when you acknowledge that it is only worth thinking about the past to find lessons for today and that you can never truly see the future then you will stop worrying about past and future and live for today.

So no regrets for yesterday, no fears for tomorrow, just make the most of today.

I've mapped out my days and try my best to live one day at a time. I have really noticed the benefits :)

That is good to hear, I also have noticed the benefits.

In my own case though I find that if I do not note the activities I have done in the day before I end the day I am in danger of letting my schedule slip.

Welcome
