Thought you were so close to me,

but you're as distant as a star

You are here, I feel you

pulsating in every little scar

I do not see you, but I believe

your place of endless dwelling

is deep within my being

As long as I am alive

The life I strive for

is not close enough to grasp

You hold it just out of reach

I fear I will never see it,

no matter how much time should elapse

You hold yourself high, crushing me with every step

You laugh as you trod, on

your mission to take my very last breath

You will not steal my rapture,

It is something you can't have

You will not take my laughter

and place it in my past

For, now I truely see you

I glance in your direction

I thought I only saw myself

but I realized, You are my depression
