I prefer full caps.
Vaneers is out of date. Now they have Lameers.
My sister has the veneers. They have snapped off several times. The doc put them back on for no charge.
That scared me so I decided to have root cannals and full caps.
I clench and grind as it is, so I figured I'd ruin them like I did my teeth.

If you could afford it would you have veneers, here in uk a mouth full of teeth would cost from £10,00 to £25,000

I disagree - this is something that should be considered very carefully. I had 6 full crowns put on my upper six front teeth 13 years ago - and my upper front teeth, not just the crowns, but the teeth themselves have snapped off at the root and then replaced with posts and crowns - they have snapped off - had to have them replaced. It has been a nightmare!! Be very caredful as to who you use for this dental process - if vaneers come off - the whole tooth doesn't come with it. But with me - with the crowns - the whole tooth breaks off at the root. Bad dentist too. I did not have problems with these teeth - it was supposed to be only cosmetic - she destroyed my teeth and compromised my appearance - -

I have never had any problems with my veneers and i have had them for 10 years. Veneers in my opinion are a better option because it is less invasive proceedure -

My sister had veeers and now they make lameers is what I heard.
My teethy were already destroyed due to an illness that caused me to not produce enough saliva. So all but 8 of my teeth had to be capped. Previous to getting this done my teeth were chipping, slices were coming off and it was a nightmare. I didn't want to lose all of my teeth.
My appearance is 100% better. I just need to have the last 8 teeth deep cleaned (forgot the term) and whitened.
WoW, I'm sorry you had such a lousy dentist.
My dentist does lameers too.
I was not a candidate for those due to the destruction in my mouth.
I had to have 1 bone graft too.
I should have another done but I don't think I can afford it. -

I have veneers on my two front teeth and they have lasted some 15 or so years. Two months ago - in August - I chipped one of them. I consulted with my dentist four weeks ago and he recommended bonding. I had it done and now I can't even tell where the veneer had broken off. -

Then the bonding came off and so I had to have impressions made. I got a temporary crown and had to go to the dental lab for the shading and then I had it put in in September or so. Then three weeks my other veneer came off due to chewing on something hard. So I had to go back to the dentist office to get a temporary crown and impressions taken on tooth #8 which also had a veneer. Just be careful because with veneers they will come off. Also, if they are on your two front teeth - upper be sure to cut up the food that you eat ie. chicken etc. since you don't want the veneer to come off again.
