I'm new to this group

I'm happy to have been invited to this group. I've been away from DS for a while and am glad to be back. I hope to meet lots of new friends here.

  My challenge right now is being a care giver to my 92-year-old mother whose health is failing. She has chronic osteomyolitis and heart problems. I am mostly house bound due to this and have found myself in a state of depression. But, I am working on lifting myself out of it.

  So glad you made it to our group. Like paw said' we don't allow no sadness 'round here !'
  I love this page because we have no bossy butts to deal with & unless one of us is in trouble...we stay positive. Each of us is dealing with some tragic situation ( which we pretty much ignore on this page) and we never allow it to rule completely. I think you'll enjoy these folks.   Those of us who live in the warmer States (Arizona here) can usually be found hiding under a table or behind something solid and strong enough to withstand whatever Muriel is throwing at us. She starts getting crabby when it starts to get colder - and just because we happen to mention how nice and warm it is where we are we become targets!

  Ya know.....I think heading into Menopause has it's advantages...all summer I was overheating constantly...I'm finding the cold quite refreshing to be honest. Don't hold me to it...I can't guarantee that I shall cease biatching about it, however in the meantime I'm going to invest in a pair of UGG sandals...TAKE THAT TOOTS!

  Muriel, I have Uh,oh flip flops in TN because I am always stumbling when I wear the things.
