WEATHER REPORT PLEASE!

Posted on 08/23/09, 07:22 am
I'm curious how the weather is for everyone right now. Here in NY it has become mildly unbearable with random hot flashes...AND the weather hasn't been brilliant either.

I will deny this in a court of law, however...that snow is looking good to me right now.

Okay, who are you and what have you done with Muriel. There is no way Muriel would be saying anything good about snow.

HOT here. over 110 and dry some days - or if you prefer, there are days of monsoon thunderstorms with a humidity of 60% BUT the high is only 104. Oh,and the lows? over 90 most nights.

My Airedale and I just stay in front of the air conditioner vent - panting with our tongues hanging out.

    Arizona. Gotta love it.

You guys should come visit me in Tennessee!! This has been the greatest summer in seven years. One official 90 degree day so far as of Aug.22. Today was 80, no humidity!! Muriel, you're not having hot flashes, they're ENERGY SURGES :-D
Hey Sandy, I have family in Chandler, AZ. Have always wanted to visit, but it sounds awfully hot down there.
Stay cool, Fall is on the way! Big Hugs, Joy

Hello Ladies! OK...this is how I am seeing this summer...I'm locked in the house with the air conditioning on. Winter time, I'm locked in the house with the heat on....I spend all summer trying to make the inside of the house like the outside of the house in winter. I spend all winter trying to make the inside of the house like the outside of the house in summer. Does anyone other than me see the problem here?

Somehow I need the outside and the inside to be a bit more compatible. So...do I need to make the house bigger and include more of the outside to balance it out? OK...other than move to California (which has the best weather)...I got a problem here.

Signed Fed Up with the Freakin Heat!

Poor Muriel ! You need a heated/ air conditioned sun room filled with plants and maybe some ........ monkeys ! Yes ! Monkeys would be really really fun pets for you. You could teach them to make martinis for you and even serve them. They may be better hired help then some of the ones you have gotten stuck with. On the days when you only need someone to carry the other end of the board...a monkey could do it for peanuts ! (Organic ones ! ) Monkeys would never park their vehicle under your tree and leave it for long periods of time. They don't have cell phones and most of them won't be taking long smoke breaks while on the clock. They'll love you to pieces !! They'll keep the fleas off the dogs ....monkeys have so many good points ! You should maybe consider this suggestion. OhanaMarie
Our weather has been one of the mildest Summers on record but very dry. You are welcome to visit & bring the dogs too. Hurry, before the snow flies.

I would visit but it's hard to travel with two german shepherds and a monkey.

Same weather here in Joisey! I am lucky to have a pool, so when I am too hot, I jump in!! I agree though, I use waaaaaay too much energy to cool in the summer and heat in the winter and even given that, NO ONE is happy at my house!! Ohana Marie, can a monkey tame my teenagers?? Hee hee hee, I should be so lucky! Muriel, hang in there, before you know it the snow WILL be here, and then we will all be wishing for summer again....

Don't know if a monkey could tame a teenager....might be worth a try. Maybe the 'bonding' would help re-direct the teen energy. What energy ? My teen has very little physical energy. Pretty sure a monkey will pick fleas off of a teen as well as Muriel's dogs so no pest control problems. Sandy might need that for Trevor too.
My weather is more like Joy's and so far we have had few extremes. I like the seasons and Fall is my favorite.

Hey Joy - I know exactly where Chandler is - and yes it is HOT there too. We have a heat warning for tomorrow - high of 110.

Thinking of those monkeys.... I wonder if they could be taught to clean house??? And Trevor wonders if he could have a monkey that can open dog treat jars for him.
