my mother sides with my ex

My mother and father are befriending my ex and his girlfriend. My mom does not want to get to know my boyfriend and when I called her to confront her about what was going on, she said it was for the good of my daughter that she was friends with my ex. I told her that if she ever wants to have a relationship with me ever again she will discontinue this. She told me that if I leave my boyfriend she will.... She has verbally bashed me and my boyfriend to a friend of ours in the bar where she works. I think she hates that she has no control of my life anymore.

  I am fighting for custody of my daughter and my lawyer says that I need to make nice with my mother... I don't lie well and hate pretending that everything is ok...
