Sept. 13th my father will have bee in Heaven for 4 years!

Why is it when it gets close to that date you just relive it all over again?
I've been really thinking about my dad and I still get this sick feeling that he's really not here anymore. Of course I still tear up..not sure if that will every go away.

I just want to encourage everyone out there that are in pain from the loss of their father or any family member. Know as time passes it does get easier. I still think of my dad OFTEN, but I tend to think of all the fun times we had. Just keep pressing forward one day at a time!!

I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ with all my heart. I'm a Christian. I know that one day I will see my earthly father again!!! And that's a AWESOME feeling!

  It has been ten years for me. I always feel 'off' around this anniversary. We would not miss them so much if we didn't have wonderful fathers!!!
  I, too, know that I will meet with my dad again..

  I know what you mean, spet 29th would have been dad's 71st bday and he's been gone over 5 yrs. Its heartbreaking 2 see our fathers die b4 us. Its too much bu you're right purpose about it gets easier as time goes by. But the pain will never go away thats for sure. Im sorry about your dad too. Godbless
