What a BLESSING!!!

I have been avoiding looking at some videos of Christmas several years back because I didn't know how I was gonna handle seeing my Daddy.. I know that might not really make sense.. but I just kept feeling like the time wasn't right and I would know when it was.
Well, everybody around here left yesterday but ME.. and all of the sudden .. THE TIME WAS RIGHT!!! So I got some tissues and pushed "PLAY"!
Hearing his voice.. his laughter.. just melted my heart. BUT there was one thing one this video that I never ever imagined I would see and hear???
MY DADDY PRAYING!!!!
So many time at church different ones made comments over the years about what sweet prayers my Daddy always said... it was even talked about at his funeral service.. He ALWAYS asked the LORD to keep him Humble!!
I loved to hear my Daddy pray but since he left us, I NEVER thought I would ever be able to hear him again...... There are NO WORDS for the feelings that swept over my body.. I just shut my eyes and absorbed every word.. then pushed rewind MANY times. WHAT A BLESSING I RECIEVED! Just wanted to share this special moment with you all. God Bless You! Lori

  "A Blessing" is exactly the right words. Cherish those videos and make copies on Compact Disc's so they'll last forever. What a wonderful day for you. Hugs, Marge

  Awww what a beautiful story and I'm so happy that it happened to you. I remember finally seeing of video of my dad and hearing him and watching him smile just brought so much peace to my heart. I'm yet to view others but, like you, I'm waiting for that right time as well. You have a true treasure in that video....savour it forever!

  I am so glad that your dad has made you smile, he must of been very special. Seeing him and hearing him will always give you comfort. Thanks for telling us all about this. I wish you well.

  Of all of the videos... to put the one in where your father was praying. Doesn't sound like a coincidence to me. Sonds like he sent that one to your finger tips.

  We have yet to look at videos, my Mom has quite a few. There are so many of him with his horses, and me riding them, as he wasn't able to ride anymore. He LOVED to still give me commands and instruction on riding even though he bought my first horse for when I was 10 yrs old. He taught me everything I know about horses, and I really want to watch the videos. He was teaching my nephew how to ride and care for the horses, too. Those were the best times with Dad. He was always so vibrant when he was with the horse, and teaching us so much about them. I miss those times the most.
  
  My Mom isn't ready to view the vidoes yet, and I feel a little selfish asking her If I can borrow them. I hope maybe on his birthday in March, we can all watch them together. We get together on every occasion that was special for Dad.
