compassionate love
The love of a child
Innocent love
The love of a friend
An ear that listens, bends
The love of a lover
Hearts joined in one
The love of Christ
Out stretched arms
How to show love
Pure and unwavering
The love of a mother
Cords wrapped together
The love of a Father
The love of my hands
Holding all your hurt and then releasing it
To my Father
Your Father
Oh love of my soul
Have we ever met?
Swept up love and swept up pieces
The glue that holds the aorta in place
Pumping love through blue veins
Out stretched arms
One little lamb
Sacrificial
Love that doesnt expect love in return
Love for enemies
Love for myself, so that I may love my neighbor
As myself
Love that can mend and patch and tape
Love that can bend and break and stop the hate
Love that can wipe tears and soothe fears and quench thirst and hunger and disease
Love that can love in spite

But why?
Because he knew you before you were in your mothers womb

Because he has a direction, a plan
And you were special enough to partake of his love
And give it to another
