Ingredients in conventional ice cream

I got this flyer at my doctor's office:

ICE CREAM MAY BE HAZARDOUS TO YOUR HEALTH!

Look what's in it these days. The following list of ingredients used in ice cream products may curb your appetite. There are no regulations requiring manufacturers to tell you. These are considered to be organically-derived ingredients.

Diethyl Glucol - Cheap chemical used as an emulsifier instead of eggs. Glucol is the same chemical used in antifreeze and paint remover.

Piperanol - Used in place of vanilla. This chemical is used to kill lice.

Aldehyde C17 - Flavor in cherry ice cream. Flammable liquid used in analine dyes, plastic and rubber.

Ethyl Acetate - Gives pineapple flavor. Also cleaner for leathers and textiles. Its vapor have been known to cause chronic lung, liver and heart damage.

Butyraldehyde - Nut flavor in ice cream. Ingredient in rubber cement.

Amyl acetate - Banana flavor. Oil paint solvent.

Benzyl Acetate - Strawberry flavor. It is a nitrate solvent.

The next time you are tempted by a delicious-looking banana split, think of it as a mixture of antifreeze, oil paint, nitrate solvent and lice killer. But don't despair. Fresh, healthy organic ice cream is available in some stores. Don't wait - tell your supermarkets you demand healthy food for your families.

And I thought the main problem with ice cream was the fat and sugar content...take a look at the "sugar free" ice cream (which is made with sugar alcohols instead usually) and the list gets worse (as do the side-effects).

I'm pretty sure Breyers is among the conventional ice cream makers who use this junk in their products. They are able to do this, because they can just list them as "natural flavorings."
