Firstly, I'd like to congratulate you on ending it. Secondly, I'd like to celebrate the fact that you are still here. You survived!!
I found that after disclosure, things became very real. I also had to cope with losing many friends and acquaintances. The loss was overwhelming.
I understand why it takes so long to tell. It took me 30 years to disclose abuse. You are not alone.

Just recently told my story. Was secretly very abused by ex husband in every way possible for 27 years even during current marriage of 25 years till I ended it five years ago. HARD time now!

Thank you sooo Much! Can't eat, or sleep! 5'7" and down to 109 lbs NO friends or family understand! So many accusations! WHY didn't you do this or that?! TERROR!! Thought he would KILL me!! He almost DID before! hurt me for 27 years! OMG! Was protecting HUSBAND NOT ex! Didn't want him to go to jail for revenge on my behalf! I didn't want to die. No one understands!
