colitis is a inflamitary bowel disease....... Collagenous collitis is sim ular to IBS and causes stomach pains and muscle spasms in the stomach/bowel. certain people have to avoid certian foos/drinks etc.... also sufferers have problems absorbing certain vitamins and minerals. also sufferers may be ill quite often and very tired and lethargic. diagnosis is usually by endoscopy.
