Hi to all,

I am new in this group. Just wanted to know if anyone has been to a doctor that specialized in just Fibromyalgia.

  I have heard of them and seen them online but they usually don't accept Medicare. My doc is ok.

  I see a pain specialist, (am in New Zealand, however he now focuses mostly on my back problems, he has been helpful though and it was him that diagnosed fibro 5 years ago. I have to pay to see him though and because he is so fab the waiting list is long.

  Usually, from what I understand and thru my research, your family Dr will refer you to a rhumitologist. They are the ones who deal with Fibro, at least thats the way it is here in Wisc and they are covered under medical assistance and medicare.

This group is for people with chronic pain conditions such as back pain,fibromyalgia,CFS,etc.
