Yes God Understands Brother He knows Your Heart and Loves You. There will be many times in our lives that something will come up to keep us away from Church I know how you feel about missing a service but again the Lord knows our Hearts and He understands.
God Bless You Brother

The whole family agreed this weekend that we would go to Church at 6pm. on SUNDAY. But then problems cropped up late, late Halloween night. my ex wife (who I live with along with all our kids), began throwing up. She stayed in bed all Sunday.
I was really depressed early Sunday pm., and my older brother Jerome, bless his heart had a really long, beneficial talk with me about God.
Unfortunately, when I got home at 4, MB said that she needed to go to the ER clinic by our house.
You all know how slow ER rooms are. We waited during the intake, we waited once we got into 1 clinic room, we were moved into another clinic room, she had to have an IV b/c they diagnosed her w/ gastroenteritis and dehydration.
While she was IV'd she fell asleep, I did too b/c I was depressed and couldn't sleep Halloween night. When she fell asleep, she laid on the IV tube and the solution couldn't go into her arm.
So once we got her anti-nausea prescription, it was 6:30, and I had no interest in being 1/2 hr late for church especially when the service is 45 minutes!
Still I miss being guided by the priest, hearing the readings and feeling God through the congregation. Yet, by taking care of MB, I don't think I sinned.

I am the same way when I miss church. I feel really rotten. But I have found that I can read the Word myself, offer praise and worship and pray where ever I am when I can't be in church. It's not like you just decided not to go...something came up and God does understand. My husband and I go to services at our church Sunday morning, night and Wed. night. There is no questioning it, we just know that no matter what we do it. My 3yr old was born on a Monday and the very following Sunday she was at church and has not missed even one Sunday of her entire life. Either my husband or myself make sure she gets there if one of us is unable to go. And if we are out of town we find a church and go.
But I do understand why you feel the way you do but it only means that you hunger for a deeper relationship with God and that is a good thing. So be happy that you feel this way. If you didn't feel this way then I would suggest you re-evaluate your relationship with God!
God bless you! -

God understands your situation and He loves you nevertheless. We have our struggles and there are times where we feel alone. Keep in mind that Satan wants and would love to isolate us. I've been struggling with that emotion of just wanting to give everything up. Try to share fellowship with other believers in Christ so you can be with those who can strengthen you when you need it most. God bless you and have you grow in Christ. -

IamLisa is right it's not like you chose not to go to church because you just didn't feel like it or you stayed home to watch a football game or something, you were there helping your ex wife. Sometimes life happens and we just can't go and He understands that. -

PP you make an excellent point about Satan wanting to isolate us. I really think that 6 yrs. ago when I was at my lowest, I felt much more isolated than I do now. I just had co-worker friends & family and that seemed it. Now w/ DS & CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP, there's so much more.
