Associated Press is reporting that a cat in Iowa has been diagnosed with Swine Flu. It appears the cat caught it from its owners.
Cause for concern.....?

    Oh no I didn't know they could get it thats scary.. I would hate for my babies to have it.

    That is scary to hear if our pets can easily get sick from this swine flu as well. Please keep us informed if there are any new news on this. I hope there is something we can help our kitties like shots for them also.

    I wouldn't hold my breath for shots for pets any time soon. They can't make enough for people so why would they rush to help animals? To a lot of people (not US of course) pets are low priority. After all they're 'Only dumb animals'. We know better.

    Not really. All kinds of things can be passed from animals to humans. Salmonella, Anthrax, Rabies, ringworm, fleas, ticks, I could go on....
    Not that anyone should panic, just that it's part of living a world with animals.

    Yes I have MRSA and cats can get it I have to be really careful if I get an open sore. It can get on them.
