Here it is as promised!  Our Christmas story, some members created together throughout our Christmas week!  I am sooo proud and blessed to know so many beautiful, gifted and wonderful people here in our support group...Jenna has posted the beginnings of  a new story as well so if you want to get in on the fun, check it out on the discussion board and for goodness sakes, HAVE YOURSELVES SOME NEW YEAR FUN!!!

 *Here's the story*

It was right before Christmas

when there was a knock at my door

There was an old man who I'd come to adore

he looked like a weirdo all dressed in red

but I got curious and said  what the hec

I invited him in

He sat down on a chair

He looked like a hippie with all that white hair

He said he didn't have a home of his own

so I offered him mine so he wouldn't be alone

He warmed right up and told us many takes

He was a human with accomplishments and some fails

We loved him like he was one of our own

and told him he now had a home

His company was great

We loved to be near him

And the games we all played seemed to cheer him

The games were fun

and the fun was funny

Then my husband asked him for a Playboy bunny

Next thing I know my dear wife asked him for one too

And he said to us you want what, and for who

I don't give away things like that he said in a huff

I only give nice people my nice stuff

So he asked who was naughty or who was nice

and I help up my hand and said enough

We at DS are thoughtful and true

Friends we will be even when we are blue

and so in 2008 as our christmas story lays to rest

I think it fair to say this year held many many tests

As a dreamer of a place where God could put His mark of love on

I realize that this work is never going to be done

Those that are here paving the way

are pressing on no matter what other do or say

Life may bring us many many storms

but God sent His son that not one would bring us harm

May we remember to thank Him in all things whether good or not.  For if we put our total trust and faith in Him, He will come in as our mighty deliverer bringing good gifts from heaven above.  My friends, DREAM, dream of heaven here on earth, for the bible says;  The Kingdom of God is at hand...so look at your hands right now and say to yourself,  "I hold the keys to working miracles" to a lost and dying world.  For it is true to those who believe, no doubt to them that believe, He will manifest His glory and send trues riches into our lives.  May we be filled with more hope than we had yesterday and more faith for our tomorrows.
