ANTI Candida Recipies
Posted on 07/29/08, 10:37 pm
I am hoping to encourage people to share ANTI-Candida recipies.
For dinner I had:
Steamed green beans
4 red mini potatos mashed
Orange Roughe fish
I steamed everything in the Nuker.
I used Braggs Aminos cuz I like the flavor and I know I can have it w/o problems.
Later: I had a Granny Smith apple
Ice water.

Some people can't handle potatoes. I was one that could and was very grateful about that! -

For us, purple potatoes or yams work better than white potatoes. Of the white ones, the redskins are best. -

New potatoes have a much lower glycemic index than "adult" potatoes and should have a much less encouraging effect on candida.
Radioactive Salad
CHOP:
2 apples, washed, skin on
1/4 fresh pineapple, peeled
2 ribs celery, rinsed and sliced into horseshoes
TOSS APPLE AND PINEAPPLE TOGETHER. THIS PREVENTS THE APPLES FROM TURNING BROWN. ADD CELERY.
GRIND IN FOOD PROCESSOR:
1 med beet, scrubbed but not peeled
2 small parsnips, peeled or scrubbed
4 med carrots, peeled or scrubbed
Toss everything together.

Sorry if I didn't say what this recipe is for :). It is for Tea Bread. I took this from a cookbook, How to Beat Candida, very good book and very informative. I'm not so sure if you can use other flours but you can give it a try. Best of luck. -

Can you eat parsnips raw? -

from some of the different diets there was a wide discrepancy in starch or no starch...
for starters it would probably be good to have whatever you have in that field without yeast.
and that your vegies and fruit should be low on the sugar/glycemic index to prevent fermentation.
corn was mentioned.. but I think carrots might not be too good at the beginning of a cleanse, but re institued later. I know I blew it big time with all the sugars I had from the fruit etc this summer.. Shame on me.. I am now paying big time.... : (
Thanks for the recipes..
This was a Vegan link that was attached to one of the sites I was on...
