M't:7:15: Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
M't:7:16: Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
M't:7:17: Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
M't:7:18: A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
M't:7:19: Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
M't:7:20: Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
M't:7:21: Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
M't:7:22: Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
M't:7:23: And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

I don't consider myself as Christian but.....
Posted on 10/05/09, 11:42 amI don't consider myself as a Christian, although my faith is very close to it, and i have reason why i don't call myself one.
I am a CHIEF sinner, i have many many bad deeds, i am addictive to sex, i drink, i fornicate, i even want to kill some individuals, and because of that i don't want to call myself a Christian because I will only make a bad name to the religion that have already a bad reputation.
I know it sounds confusing, i don't even understand myself, i feel hurt when someone mocks Jesus and Christianity and Israel.

Roger, not sure what message you were meaning to convey there to xxLostxx??????
xxLostxx, the list of sins you gave is not a reason to refrain from being a Christian but all the more a reason to become one. You see yourself as a sinner and it is the sinner that God invites. Often the joys of knowing Christ replaces some of those things that trouble you about yourself. Don't let your sins keep you from the Savior but come to Him as you are with an empty hand to receive life and forgiveness. Only the self righteous do not see a reason for coming to God His way but will seek another way by establishing their own righteousness.
The law is to show our sinfulness and our utter hopelessness of ever saving ourselves. The Bible teaches that the law was our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ. Why not come to Him that can cleanse you of all trespasses and sins?? Salvation is not a reward for good people but a gift to bad people. Why not come to Him as you are right now and let Him remove that dirty robe you are wearing and let Him replace it with a robe of righteousness?
You did say:
"i don't want to call myself a Christian because I will only make a bad name to the religion that have already a bad reputation."
I am convinced that many in "religion" suffer from personality problems. Many do not know if their sins have been forgiven. Many are miserable and pretend to by happy by showing up on Sunday with a smile plastered to their face. They tend to be judgmental and love to argue with anyone that opposes their religion so don't be fooled. The church actually is made up of sinners and not the spiritually successful that so many out there try to convey. There are decent churches but often a person has to look hard to find one. Don't let your sins keep you from coming to Christ or finding a good church that preaches grace. If you wait until your life is in order then you most likely will never come to Christ. -

I am sure that if you just humble yourself before Jesus Christ, he will forgive you. Our Church is not filled with saints and perfect people, it is made up of sinners also. If you really repent, then God will see through all your faults and into your heart. A doctor does not cure a healthy person, he cures the sick. Jesus came for us sinners, that eternal life may be made possible for us. -

Just wondering if you don't want to call yourself a Christian because you don't want to give up those sins?
When we repent and turn away from sin, God will help us and lift us out of the pit we are in. You don't have to do that alone.
Welcome
