Sorry, I don't have problems falling asleep at random times of the day. I have problems just falling asleep.
Although, my roommate could fall asleep ANYWHERE!!! I think it's a chemical imbalance, a lack of proper nutrition(depending on what your diet contains), and levels of stress. It doesn't help that she's a dead sleeper. She could sleep through an earthquake, and think it were just a dream. IF that.
Sorry that that doesn't help. :(

I have had this a lot in the past. I still have it, but to a lesser extent (I found that a hypoglycemic diet has helped me, probably because it has regulated my blood sugar levels somewhat, therefore giving me more stable energy level throughout the day.)
Also, I have trouble falling asleep at the correct time, which I suspect might be delayed sleep pahse syndrome, which basically mean that my body clock is skewed, meaning that I get less sleep generally and making me more tired during the day: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delay...
Look into narcolepsy too: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narco...
It's really bizarre - I can fall asleep in the weirdest and most inappropriate places! A couple of times in the cinema, I have to fight it (sort of unsuccessfully.) I've even fallen asleep in a shopping centre :S I think I've inherited it from my dad, because he has hypoglycemic symptoms and sleep problems too (he was sleeping sitting next to me on the same bench in the shopping centre lol! -
