Beryl Kingston's saga Only Young and Only Human. Couldn't put it down, finished the first book and dropped everything to race across town to get out the second book ! -

Life of Pi, by Yann Martel. Has anyone else read this? WOW. Don't read it while eating (I was reading it on my lunch hour at work, and had to put it down for a while). Such a twist in the end. Very well written. -

My favorites are:
Persuasion by Jane Austen
North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
All classics but still really good in today's world. -
