feel so alone, stressed to max

Posted on 10/29/09, 10:05 am
I really need some support today. We're getting ready to move which my p-doc mentioned is one of the top stressors (as if I couldn't have told her that one already, haha) I feel myself slipping into mania, I want to throw, scream anything to get rid of this awful feeling. How to de-stress without escaping? I have noone to talk to right now except my dogs who are even scared around me because they can sense my dangerous mood.

Try taking a deep breath and telling your self it will pass. I moved last year, and it was EXTREMELY stressful, but I'm still here. It really sucks to leave places that are familiar, but you never know you might find some friends and other things that you like about your new place.

Maybe try sitting down, turning on some calming music or music you can relate to, take deep breaths and then look to the dogs once you are calm and hold out your arms to see if they'll come close.
Just focus on staying calm for right now.

I believe when there are some things happening that you can't change, you put all our available energies into going down that route and get them over and done with. It is suprising how much better you feel when you are close to achieving them. But, when there are things you can change, well then you can go ahead and do that, as long as you are not hurting anyone else. You can't change the fact that you are moving, so it is something you need to get your head round, and I am confident you can do that. And, you have your lovely dogs - give them lots of cuddles and think about going on some good long walks with them, that will make you feel better. Good Luck with the move.
