Tired of not making it

Posted on 10/10/09, 06:20 pm
I don't know if it one of the following:Bipolar,PTSD, gad,Dyslexia or marriage and money dire circumstances but I can't stop being depressed. I was happy this week.
At Aikido, my Sensei said his wife said I obviously had Dyslexia and Asperger Syndrome. How rude! I couldn't do I move. I am so depressed that I had a hard time going in the first place. Can depression from all of this cause one not to think? Or should i just quit and also not try to go to college again? Last year, after not sleeping for a long time, i became so anxious I fell apart. Life really sucks!

That's a lot to have to deal with. Are you taking any medication? It's good you are reaching out. That can really help. Sometimes it just have to pass you know? Good luck.

Depression makes me shut down. I can't concentrate or think at all. It feels like I'm in slow motion. I agree with missu. Try to find a therapist you can really connect with and who is skilled at treating your disorders. Also, if you aren't taking meds maybe consider. If you are, do you have a good psychiatrist? That is so important. I know if you are having finance problems this can seem overwhelming but you can't afford not to get help. A good resource to look into is your local NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness) chapter. You can google NAMI and find their website. They offer support groups for you and your family and might offer some low cost group therapy. Keep reaching out so the depression doesn't consume you. I started college this semester after having a complete meltdown after spring break. I made up the incompletes this summer and am doing okay keeping it together. A good choice I made is that I am barely fulltime at 12.5 credit hours. Keep hope and don't give up.
