Make a list and take it to the pdoc without you. Docs know you are serious when you show up with a list and tell them you need to have your questions answered. Sometimes I just hand the doc my list of questions. That has worked well for me. Good luck

thats the BIG problem isnt it!!! you go there with all the intention of telling your doc everything then when you get in there the words just wont leave your mouth, i ended up seeing a therapist and as i got to know him i just forgot my angst and let whatever mood i was in just flow out, it was such a relief and all the worrying dark feelings i had was e-mailed back to my doc from my counsillor, saving me the anxiety! so is there a friend or someone in ur family that can come with you? and they can tell your doc that your really having a harder time than usual!! docs find it harder to ignore you when a second party is involved!!! good luck x

Also, you can take someone in the appt with you. Normally my fiance goes with me and he takes me more seriously. This seems to work with all appointments.

I had that problem also, I kept telling the doctor that I felt that I was overmedicated. He ended up retiring and I had to find another doctor.

The new doctor told me that I was taking too much meds and took me off one of my meds. If things are alright, then he will take me off another med.....so far, I have been able to laugh and cry - something I haven't done in a long time...so I think I am getting better.

I don't know what I wouldn't have done without this new doctor. I would suggest you try to find another one.

don't give up, finding the right doctor, therapist and meds is a HUGE problem. But, it is possible!!! If you have a somewhat decent doc or therapist, write down what's on your mind. (thoughts, feelings, questions) take it with you that way no matter how you feel at that moment, you can read your papers and remember what you have been going through since your last appointment. it helps me alot. good luck!
