Were any of you children of a bipolar mother?

There is a lot of information that suggests bipolar Mums have bipolar kids, yet my parents were not bipolar. I was wondering if any did have bipolar parents and what you may be trying to do to minimize the risk to your kids?

No. I am terrified that my daughter will be bipolar.
As I read the symptoms of bipolar disorder I see a lot of similiarities to my mother and my aunt.
I think because of their age and the late onset most woman have they may be going thorugh life without meds or therapy.
They both survive quiet well but I think they have done a good job learning to cope.
Have to run...please keep on this site. I really like it and could use some peers to relate to or if you know another good site let me know.
