it's been a while since i have been on this group, but i have been hanging out in the depression group just about every day. being a single mom is hard as hell! lmao.

  Yeah it is hard but somehow we manage. I hope you start feeling better soon, don't let the cloud overtake, get some help if you need it.

  i am taking meds for the depression now and that's helping....it's just hard with no income, having to depend on him, having to deal with her being upset cause he hasn't come by to see her or call her. stuff like that is what i mainly mean but at the same time just regular everyday raising her is hard by myself.

  Hi. I'm relatively new to this site, however, I, too, am hoping to find a lot of support from otherrs, in the challenges of being a single adoptive parent for twelve years. My ex-husband and I adopted an attachment disordered baby, who is now an early teenager. Attachment disordered children don't like touch, hugs, or parental kisses. It's so sad for me, having grown up in a touchy-feely home.
  
  I'm so excited about getting support from other single moms, maybe having similar issues with a child. Any ideas about learning to love being a single mom with a special needs adolescent? Thank you.
