blowing and huffing and puffing

Hi my grandson is 8 and nonverbal. He used to flap his hands as a stem, now he constantly blows like huffing in and out. He does it loudly and it almost makes you think he is going to hyperventilate and pass out. Does anyone in this group have a child that does this?

my autistic daughter is almost non verbal as i noticed over time stims will usally decrease some do come back every now and then, my daughter recently started makeing these mouth sounds odd ones. what you are experiencing would make me nervous, try to get him to do something else or get him a chewy toy that he can mouth on. these kids look for stimmulation....lol best of luck -

Harmonica sounds wonderful.
My stimming was talking to myself. Also talking to plants and insects because they always responded. Insects, weeds and birds were way nicer to me than anything else.
Dizzy and fainting spells. I guess huffing and puffing. I would exhale and people would accuse me of sighing. Sighing doesn't trigger or connect to any emotion at all.
Making odd noises and popping and clicking with my mouth, just continuous.
Rocking back and forth felt real good and reassuring that I was actually here. Many times I felt like I didn't have a body. -

Daniel went through a phase of making noises, but now he walks round in a circle or spins round and round on his bottom. He also rocks back and forth.
