  I think she is missing the point, you don't believe in God to cure your ills. Mankind is fully responsible for it's own suffering, the wars and the bad economy, you can't expect God to straight these things out. Life has a definite cycle of birth, growth and eventually death - nothing can change that, you can change the way you think and how you choose to live your life.
